OUR HISTORY

Our church is a member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church of Australia (CMAA). It was inaugurated by a missionary Rev. Jonathan Kaan and a small group of Christians on November 8, 1987 at an English church in Woodville Gardens. Throughout the years, due to the expansion of our congregation, our church has moved to its present location. Initially, it was a Cantonese speaking but with Mandarin translation church, later on a new English speaking congregation was also formed in 2001 to meet the needs of many English speaking young people. The CMAA was established in 1969; and now has over 50 local churches in different Australian states. In Adelaide, there are three Christian & Missionary Alliance churches, namely, North East Alliance Church (Modbury North), Adelaide Vietnamese Alliance Church (Enfield) and us. These three Alliance churches are co-ordinated by a CMAA regional representative. Our church is registered with the Australian Government as a religious organisation. All persons, who have been baptised at our church, become the church’s parishioners. The administration and pasturing of this Church are carried out by our pastors and lay leaders.
